By withholding conventional imagery\, Lazarus invites viewers into a more intimate and reflective experience of perception.\n\nMateriality: Jim Gigurtsis and Mike Cannata pairs emotionally charged oil paintings with expressive ceramic works\, highlighting the beauty and presence of their materials while blurring the line between abstraction and representation.\n\nFuturology\, guest judged by John Byrd\, features artists imagining what lies ahead from hopeful futures to dystopian possibilities. This juried exhibition explores how artists respond to a rapidly changing world.\n\nCreated in honor of America's Semiquincentennial\, Out of Many\, Still Many showcases regional figurative painters celebrating the diverse cultures\, identities\, and everyday moments that shape the American experience.\n\nPressing On: Printmaking at DFAC celebrates the creativity and collaboration of DFAC's printmaking community\, featuring works by students\, faculty\, alumni\, and instructors that demonstrate experimentation\, craftsmanship\, and innovation in print.\n\nJoin us this summer to experience thought-provoking contemporary art and discover the many ways artists interpret our world\, our communities\, and our future.\n\nAll exhibitions remain on view through August 16\, 2026.
