The Board and Bridge of the Dunedin Boat Club will hold a traditional Decommissioning Ceremony for the clubhouse, which sustained significant damage from the recent back-to-back hurricanes and is now closed indefinitely.
This respectful ceremony will include formal traditions, such as the lowering of the DBC Burgee and the US Flag, accompanied by appropriate pomp and circumstance.
Event Details:
- A canopy with limited seating will be provided for VIPs, Past Commodores, and other distinguished guests.
- Parking is available at the marina and nearby City parking lots. Attendees should plan to walk to the Peninsula, though golf cart shuttles will be arranged for those with mobility challenges.
- Please note that attendees should be prepared to stand without shade, as the clubhouse will remain closed and secured with security personnel on-site.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we honor the history of this beloved structure and the resilience of our community.
