Perfect for the curious young naturalist, this engaging 6-week Monday class invites teens ages 13–17 to explore Florida’s native plants and animals through art. Students will learn the basics of botany and plant structure, discover why native species matter, and practice sketching en plein air as they observe nature up close. The course encourages personal expression, allowing students to choose the subject, design, and medium for their final drawing or painting while developing their own artistic style. Welcoming all skill levels, this class blends science, observation, and creativity in a supportive, hands-on environment.
Supply List: Bring a 9″×12″ sketchbook, drawing pencils, and a pink eraser.
