Join us for a special evening at the Dunedin History Museum as we celebrate the opening of our seasonal exhibition, Freedom in Focus: Florida’s Legacy of Liberty for America 250.
On this opening night, guests are invited to experience the debut of this dynamic exhibit exploring the foundations of American democracy—from the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution to the evolution of Florida’s Constitution. Through engaging displays, interactive elements, and a compelling historical timeline, the exhibition brings the story of liberty to life in a meaningful and accessible way.
As part of the evening, attendees will be among the first to participate in the launch of our community signing of the Declaration of Independence, a traveling initiative that will continue at the Dunedin Public Library and City Hall. This project will lead into a special reenactment event on June 20, with more details to be announced.
Enjoy this opening night in the spirit of connection and conversation as part of our Mix & Mingle series, with light bites, refreshments, and the opportunity to engage with history in a new and memorable way.
The exhibition will be on view May 27 through November 13.
